Expert's Table
 

A selection of 100 expert jobs, from acrobat through to law arbiter, each supplied with a brief description. Not all jobs fit in with every environment, so just re-roll on the table if you roll something that you wouldn't normally find (a sailor in an inland village that has no port, for example).

05 Alchemist A creator of special chemicals and substances. 55 Alchemical Merchant Someone who buys and sells alchemical goods.
06 Arcane Merchant A buyer and seller of magic items. 56 Armorer A maker, repairer and supplier of armor.
07 Atilliator A maker and repairer of crossbows. 57 Bladesmith A maker of very fine swords and daggers.
08 Bailiff A collector of rents. 58 Bed Feather Merchant A buyer and seller of bed feathers.
09 Blacksmith A crafter of metal, especially iron and steel. 59 Boat Maker A builder and repairer of boats.
10 Bookbinder Someone who binds and assembles books. 60 Book Merchant A buyer and seller of books.
11 Bowyer A maker of bows. 61 Butcher Some who slaughters meat and poultry.
12 Brewer The maker of alcoholic beverages. 62 Carpenter Someone who works wood.
13 Cartwright A maker of carts and wagons (also called a wainwright). 63 Cartographer A maker of maps.
14 Cheese Merchant A buyer and seller of cheeses. 64 Chef Someone who cooks and prepares food.
15 Clothier A maker and seller of clothes. 65 Clergy (Acolyte) Holders of religious positions, but with no special abilities or spells.
16 Cosmetic's Merchant A buyer and seller of toiletries and cosmetics. 66 Dentist Someone who cares for teeth.
17 Dried Goods Merchant A buyer and seller of dried goods (food, herbs, spices, etc) 67 Engineer Someone who solves practical problems.
18 Engraver Someone who scribes metal, especially coins. 68 Exotic Metals Merchants A buyer and seller of rare and exotic metals, including platinum, cold iron, adamantine, etc.
19 Furrier A dealer in furs, hides and fur and hide goods. 69 Fishmonger A seller of fish.
20 Fine Leather Worker Someone who crafts fine leather goods. 70 Fine Metal Worker Someone who crafts fine metal goods.
21 Fletcher Bolt and arrow maker. 71 Fruit Merchant A buyer and seller of fresh fruit.
22 Furniture Merchant A buyer and seller of furniture. 72 Geologist An expert in gems and minerals.
23 Gem Cutter A cutter of fine stones. 73 Glazier A maker and fitter of glass.
24 Goldsmith Someone who works and fashions gold. 74 Gold Merchant A buyer and seller of gold.
25 Grain and Flour Merchant A buyer and seller of grain and flour. 75 Hay Merchant. A buyer and seller of hay.
26 Herbalist A expert in the properties and benefits of herbs. 76 Horse Breeder Some who rears and breeds horses.
27 Horse Merchant A buyer and seller of horses. 77 Illuminator A skilled illustrator of manuscripts.
28 Interpreter Someone who facilitates communication. 78 Jeweler A maker and seller of jewelry
29 Lord Marshall Someone who liaises between Provors and those who work the land (Karnish and its empire only). 79 Locksmith A maker and picker of locks.
30 Lumber Merchant A buyer and seller of lumber. 80 Merchant Any merchant not otherwise outlined.
31 Metal Merchant A buyer and seller of non-precious metals. 81 Magic Merchant A buyer and seller of minor magical items, primarily scrolls and potions.
32 Wine and Ale Merchant A buyer and seller of alcohol. 82 Master Builder An expert in construction for the rich and powerful.
33 Master Baker An expert baker for the rich and powerful. 83 Master Tailor An expert tailor for the rich and powerful.
34 Master Shoemaker An expert shoemaker for the rich and powerful. 84 Marshall In charge of a household's horses, carts, and wagons, etc.
35 Marbler A stainer of paper and other materials to imitate marble. 85 Mason Someone who cuts and works stone.
36 Mercer A seller of fine clothes, especially silks and velvets. 86 Minter An issuer of local currency.
37 Moneylender Someone who makes a living by lending money. 87 Mortician An undertaker.
38 Navigator An expert in navigator of ships. 88 Oil Merchant A buyer and seller of oil.
39 Old Clothes and Linen Merchant A buyer and seller in old clothes and materials. 89 Town Councilor An elected member of a city, town or village council (usually an expert in another area).
40 Paint and Dye Merchant A buyer and seller of paints and dyes. 90 Paper Maker A maker of paper, parchment, papyrus, etc.
41 Perfumer A maker and seller of perfumes and fragrances. 91 Physician A trained, non-magical healer.
42 Sailor A person who works on a ship. 92 Salt Merchant Someone skilled in the art of boatmanship.
43 Silver Merchant A buyer and seller of silver. 93 Ship Captain The captain of a ship.
44 Scholar An academic or learned person. 94 Scribe A secretary, administrator, record-keeper, transcriber of texts, etc.
45 Shipwright Someone who builds ships. 95 Silk Merchant A buyer and seller of silk.
46 Silversmith Someone skilled in working silver. 96 Copper and Bronze Merchant A buyer and seller of copper and bronze.
47 Spice Merchant A buyer and seller of exotic spices. 97 Spy Someone who reports on the activities of others to their employer.
48 Tapissier A maker and seller of rugs and tapestries. 98 Tax Counter A roving tax assessor who calculates taxes owed.
49 Tax Collector An official who collects taxes. 99 Weapon and Armor Merchant A buyer and seller of arms and armor.
50 Wharfinger Owner, or in charge of, a wharf. 00 Law Arbiter A powerful purveyor of the law, with only one per Province (Karnish only).
