Not really. The parts of the site you visit will be cached, meaning that you're not for ever downloading the images from the server, so once you've visited a part of the site, it won't be as hard on your modem as the first time. I'd also consider printing the image intensive parts - the map, in particular - or buying the pdf which means you can avoid those parts of the site.

I've tried to make the site as friendly as possible and keep page download times to a minimum. Unfortunately, the map in particular is very image intensive. Try purchasing and printing off the pdf, which might make your life easier.

The map has been worked several times to make it as browser friendly as possible. What can I say? It's big and colorful and there really isn't a lot more I can do without seriously reducing the quality. Try the pdf.

The website has been checked using the following browsers: IE 6.0, Netscape 7.1 and Firefox 1.0. If you find something that isn't right (with those browsers mentioned) then report it here and I'll see what can be done. Any other browsers and I'm afraid you're on your own.
